The 'Shaping Up' challenge was to use rings on a layout. Love this photo of O and CJ.

And the 'Favourites' challenge was to create a layout of women/girls in your life, based on a sketch. Here's Livewire with her oldest cousin.

The mottled effect was something I created after meeting Nic Finlayson at the Canberra Craft and Quilt Fair. To achieve it, you spray Glimmermist liberally on the paper/cardstock, then put salt crystals on top. The salt draws some of the moisture and leaves other as a grainy residue and so you end up with the effect you see!
And I created the SOUL September sketch, which was carried into October as well because I was a bit late with it! I even changed my own sketch a bit to create this layout.
This layout is actually pulling double duty - I also used the looped flowers technique I learnt through CIS on the layout as part of the monthly challenge at CIS as well!
And this second one applies a couple of the same principles - a consistent line extending across both pages (though I actually did this one before the one above!).
This single layout I did in response to a cybercrop challenge at TSE (to use the colour green, a frame, and a tag, and preferably include a baby theme). As you can see, I cut the frame! (It is from Yvette, so thanks Yvette!)
And while I'm on the subject, this is the other TSE cybercrop challenge layout I completed (to use the colours pink and blue, a repeating element, and a tag). There's no Scenic Route in this one though - it's old CherryArte. Not that happy with this one but at least I recorded the sentiment.

Julie set the second challenge, to create a layout with some snippets of information about the habits/sayings/quirks someone has at the moment. The layout needs 10 snippets; has to have three main colours, rubons and some felt. The 10 snippets are self-evident (recorded from my notes from last year on my daughter) ... three main colours are blue, pink and yellow ... rubon is the bracket in the title ... and felt is the small black flower underneath the denim flower.
TFSB!
